The way I have reimagined myself...

I used to be an Achiever
(or - to be more accurate -
I used to run like a headless chicken)
My name is Xavier Garcia-Weibel and I was born in the sunny southwestern countryside of France.

From primary school straight to University, I was always one of the top students. I graduated with a Master of Business Informatics and Networks at the age of 23 when I landed my first corporate job for a large telecommunications company in France. I had funded my University years by working part-time as an IT consultant. Oh and I was also a dancer, amateur choreographer and dance teacher for young professionals, all of that at the same time of course...

Back in 1997, at the age of 27, I applied to become one of the co-founders of the first Research & Development site for my company in the Silicon Valley. I had the chance to get to know Google at infancy stage and lead innovative projects with Stanford and exciting startups in the mobile industry. I also created my own startup – which eventually failed –, worked some days 20 hours a day and still felt energized.

I came back to Switzerland back in 2002, landed a Technical Strategist position at the company I still work for, Swisscom. There I occupied several positions as Strategy Manager, Change Management Program Leader and Business Innovation Leader until back in 2009, I literally “exploded” and entered a period of burnout and depression. Nothing made sense any more. I was having daily panic attacks. I could hardly enter a supermarket and was running away from crowds. At 40, my life looked grimmer and more desperate than ever before.

Thanks to a journey in psychotherapy, I started to come back to myself. I realized that business and technology had never been my true passion and calling. I wanted to work with people and if possible, make sure that people would never have to go through I had lived.

I became interested in coaching in 2012 when I discovered CTI, the Coaches Training Institute and felt in love with their program. After a 2-year training journey into coaching and leadership, I became a Co-Active Professional Certified Coach.
I also became accredited by the International Coach Federation as Professional Certified Coach. See… I am still going for achievements after all. Although this time, this is a path I am choosing.
I Lead My World with Soul
This is what Coaching & Leadership have brought to my life:
  • Integrating the analytical, emotional and spiritual parts of me into ONE life and career
  • Taking care of myself and being a leader for myself first and foremost
  • Being free from the dependency on other people’s opinion while relentlessly believing in people
  • Being a force of compassion and fierce love, especially in the workplace and in the corporate world
  • Growing a successful coaching and leadership business, “Soultricity”, in parallel with a part-time corporate job
  • Co-founding Human Centric Leaders, a new system for coaching and leadership and an alliance of amazing human beings aligned along a common goal for transformation
  • Being grateful. Every single day.

"Xavier has a way of making it easy to open up and be comfortable with talking and exploring the topics at hand. He has a way of making you truly dig deep and discover things about yourself and then what actions/options need to be explored. It isn't easy to open up even to your own self, but Xavier does it in a gentle, non threatening, non judgemental way. He truly has your best interest at heart and wants to help you to discover more and more about yourself , so you can continue to become a better You. Thank you Xavier. I do look forward to our next sessions."
